The CAF Pro coaching course concluded on Thursday in Algiers, marking a key milestone for aspiring football coaches aiming to reach the highest certification level in African football.

According to a statement by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) on its official website, the final day of the course focused on physical training.

This session, held at the Civil Protection Training Ground in Dar El Beïda, featured the presence of Paulo Rongoni, the physical trainer for Algeria’s national football team.

Rongoni shared his extensive expertise, highlighting the latest scientific and practical developments in the field of physical conditioning and fitness improvement.

Rongoni’s participation added a valuable layer to the final day, where he emphasized the importance of modern physical preparation methods, underlining their role in achieving optimal performance for professional athletes.

His insights were particularly relevant given the increasing demands of modern football, where physical endurance and peak fitness are paramount for success at both club and international levels.

The FAF statement also indicated that the participants successfully received their certificates at the end of the day, following their completion of the training module.

However, there remains one final unit to be completed in December. Upon successful completion of this final phase, the 26 trainee coaches will officially receive their CAF Pro licenses, marking their readiness to coach at the highest level across the continent.

The CAF Pro license is regarded as the pinnacle of coaching qualifications in African football, equipping coaches with advanced knowledge and skills to lead top-tier teams.

The participation of prominent figures like Rongoni in these training courses aims to ensure that the next generation of coaches is well-prepared, both physically and strategically, to contribute significantly to the development of African football.

The conclusion of this training course is seen as an important step towards enhancing the quality of coaching in Algeria and beyond.

With the final unit set for December, these aspiring coaches are on track to make a substantial impact in both domestic and continental competitions.

The journey for these 26 coaches is one filled with promise, as they work towards joining the ranks of CAF’s most qualified and respected coaches, capable of steering their teams to greater heights in the competitive world of football.
