The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a final deadline to its member associations regarding the submission of entry files for the upcoming 2014 season of the Orange Champions League and the Orange Confederation Cup. According to information on CAF’s official website, member associations have only ten days remaining to send the entry files for their qualified clubs.
The commitment file, which includes a request for commitment, must be submitted via mail, fax, or email by no later than November 30. Additionally, a payment of $300 is required to complete the entry process. Each of the 42 CAF associations is entitled to register one club in both the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup. However, 12 countries, including Tunisia, Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan, Morocco, DR Congo, Algeria, Mali, Congo, Angola, Cameroon, and Ghana, are allowed to field two clubs in each competition based on the performance of their clubs in the African Club Cup over the last five years.
While the deadline for club commitments is November 30, player registrations can be completed until December 31. Clubs and associations are urged to adhere to these timelines to ensure their participation in the prestigious continental competitions.
