Al-Hilal Omdurman have confirmed that their appeal against RS Berkane in the doping case involving Hamza Moussaoui remains under review by the Confederation of African Football.

In an official statement, the Sudanese club revealed that a hearing took place earlier in the day, attended by Secretary General Dr. Hassan Ali Issa alongside the club’s legal representative.

The session was described as intense, with both sides engaging in heated exchanges over the matter.

Al-Hilal noted that their legal team presented a series of objections, along with urgent requests and conditions, prompting CAF to postpone the proceedings. A final ruling is now expected to be delivered following the continuation of the hearing.

The case comes at a crucial moment for RS Berkane, who are preparing for a high-stakes encounter against AS FAR in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

The first leg of the tie is scheduled to take place on Saturday, adding further urgency to the pending decision, which could have significant implications for the competition.

With tensions rising and both clubs awaiting clarity, all eyes are now on CAF as it prepares to deliver a verdict that may shape the outcome of the tournament.
