Nabil Maâloul, now free from any contractual obligations since stepping down as the head of the Carthage Eagles, voiced criticism regarding the coaching decisions made by Ruud Krol, the recently resigned coach of CS Sfaxien.
In a Monday evening appearance on the 9Sport program, the newly appointed coach of Raja de Casablanca pointed out that despite the victory, Krol made a tactical error by sticking to the same formation from the first leg. Maâloul argued that it was only after the inclusion of Kammoun and Hannachi’s shift to the left that CS Sfaxien showed signs of improvement.
Although the Sfaxiens suffered a 2-1 defeat in Lubumbashi, they emerged as winners of the Confederation Cup Trophy, primarily due to their strong performance at home, securing a 2-0 victory against TP Mazembe.
