Tady Etekiama scored the opening goal for TP Mazembe in the 25th minute, but Iheb Msakni equalized for CS Sfaxien in the 61st minute. The result left the tie evenly poised heading into the second leg. The return leg took place on November 30, and TP Mazembe secured a 2-1 victory, with Mbwana Samatta scoring both goals for the Congolese side. TP Mazembe won the CAF Confederation Cup with a 3-2 aggregate victory over CS Sfaxien.
