RS Berkane head coach, Moine Chaabani, has praised his players, saying his side outperformed CS Constantine.
The Moroccan side stunned the Algerian side 4-0 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final on Sunday at the Stade Municipal de Berkane.
“We outperformed the Algerian team thanks to our realism, respect for our opponents, and intense focus,” Chaabani said in the press conference.
“The early goal helped us enter the match and control it, in addition to confusing our opponents’ calculations.
“I did not expect to win with this result against CS Constantine. We played one of our best matches and succeeded in exploiting our opportunities.
“The Tunisian coach noted, “We will turn the page on the first leg and quickly focus on the second leg. I confirm that RS Berkane’s goal has not changed, which is to compete in all competitions and on all fronts,” he added.
The return has been scheduled to be staged at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui on Sunday, April 27.
