The Congolese team is currently in training in Accra, Ghana, preparing for the crucial encounter. TP Mazembe’s captain, Trésor Mputu, expressed the significance of the final, stating, “A final doesn’t happen every day, a final is rare, let’s not miss the opportunity.” He emphasized the importance of succeeding in the first leg, considering it a crucial step in winning the African Interclub Cup. Mputu believes that Mazembe, with its mix of experienced players and young talents, has the potential to compete with Sfax. He emphasized the significance of the final, urging his teammates not to miss the opportunity and to strive for the trophy.
