A result which confirms Al Ahly as the biggest club in Africa with a second consecutive coronation and an 8th continental title. No African club has achieved this feat.
In the first leg, Al Ahly managed a 1-1 draw (3-1 after the two matches). Orlando Pirates are disappointed after 90 minutes. The South African club was chasing a second African title after 1995.
