RS Berkane have announced the successful resolution of a high-profile transfer dispute, finalising the move of Senegalese midfielder Lamine Mamadou Camara to Libyan side Al-Ahli Tripoli.

The agreement, confirmed by an official statement from the Moroccan club, is being hailed as one that serves the interests of all parties involved.

The club’s management extended gratitude to Al-Ahli Tripoli, its president, and officials for their cooperation, emphasising that the positive engagement was instrumental in completing the transfer smoothly.

Renaissance Berkane also wished Camara success in his new chapter, while reinforcing their commitment to maintaining stability within the squad ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League fixture against FAR Rabat.

Renaissance Berkane head coach Mounir Chaabani had previously expressed surprise at Camara’s sudden decision to leave, describing it as abrupt and incomprehensible.

“The player left the team unexpectedly, despite training normally, and the club cannot be held hostage to individual choices, regardless of the player’s influence within the squad,” Chaabani remarked.

He further explained that attempts by the club president to understand Camara’s reasoning yielded unclear answers, which accelerated the player’s departure to the Libyan league. Despite the unexpected exit, the team has now moved past the issue and can focus fully on their Champions League preparations.

With the dispute resolved, Renaissance Berkane aims to enter their clash against FAR Rabat with a clear mind, hoping to maintain momentum and make a strong impact in the continental competition.
