Egyptian outfit, FC Pyramids, ran riot over FAR Rabat on Tuesday night, securing a dominant 4-1 victory in their first leg meeting in the quarter-final tie of the CAF Champions League.
In the crucial game today, the Egyptian side scored after just two minutes through a strike from Fiston Mayele after he was set up by Mostafa Fathi.
The early goal set up FC Pyramids to dominate the contest with FAR Rabat failing to come to the party.
The hosts doubled their lead through another equaliser by Fiston Mayele in the 12th minute as he completed a sensational brace. This time around, Mayele was assisted by Ibrahim Adel.
Later in the 28th minute, Ibrahim Adel also got his name on the scoresheet, taking the game beyond the reach of FAR Rabat.
While FAR Rabat would pull one back in the 45th minute when Abdelfettah Hadraf scored, it could not inspire a comeback.
After recess, Ibrahim Adel scored his second of the night to seal a massive 4-1 win for fc Pyramids.
The 4-1 win means the Egyptian club will be travelling to Morocco next week for the second leg encounter with a big first leg advantage.
