The CAF Disciplinary Board has imposed a fine of USD15,000 on Egyptian club, Pyramids FC.
This comes after the Board found the club guilty of misconduct and breach of Article 24.1 of the CAF Stadium Regulations by failing to ensure proper ticketing and crowd control during their clash against AS FAR early this month.
After a meeting to deliberate on the matter on Thursday, April 17, the CAF Disciplinary Board decided as follows;
“The CAF Disciplinary Board charged Pyramids with misconduct and breached Article 24.1 of the CAF Stadium Regulations by failing to ensure proper ticketing and crowd control in their TotalEnergies CAF Champions League fixture against AS FAR (1 April, 2025).
“Pyramids were found guilty and are ordered to pay a fine of USD 15,000,” CAF said in an official communique.
Among other decisions take at its meeting, the CAF Disciplinary Board also found South African club Orlando Pirates guilty of improper conduct of their team for the failure to ensure adequate security for their CAF Champions League match against MC Alger.
Accordingly, the South African club has been fined USD70,000.
