CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: MAZEMBE, ZAMALEK; ALL RESULTS AND QUALIFIED FOR THE POOLS

In the latest matches of the African Champions League round of 16, Zamalek, Hilal Ondurman, Sétif, and Espérance de Tunis secured their spots in the group stage. The matchups were intense, with some close contests determining the qualifiers.

Hilal Ondurman faced AC Leopards in a closely fought battle. After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the Sudanese team advanced with a 0-0 draw in Khartoum, benefiting from the away goal rule.

Zamalek delivered a dominant performance against Nkana, securing a resounding 5-0 victory. Goals from Ahmed Tawfik, Momen Zakaria, Omar Gaber, Hazem Emam, and Ahmed Gaafar ensured Zamalek’s advancement.

Meanwhile, Espérance de Tunis defeated Real Bamako 3-0, securing a 4-1 aggregate victory. Sétif also emerged victorious, defeating Coton Sport with a 1-0 scoreline and advancing with a 2-0 aggregate win.

With these results, the table of qualifiers for the group stage of the African Champions League is now complete. Teams eliminated from the Champions League will transfer to the Confederation Cup play-offs, with the draw for this phase scheduled for April 1.
