CAF Champions League final to reach over 100 territories in global broadcast expansion

The CAF Champions League final between AS FAR and Mamelodi Sundowns is set for unprecedented global exposure, with the 2025/26 decider to be broadcast in more than 100 territories worldwide.

Sunday’s showdown in Rabat, Morocco, scheduled for 20:00 local time, marks a significant leap in the Confederation of African Football’s international reach, particularly in Asia and Europe where several new markets have been added to the competition’s broadcast footprint.

For the first time, audiences in Japan, China and South Korea will be able to watch the CAF Champions League final live through streaming platform DAZN, underlining the growing commercial and sporting appeal of African club football beyond the continent.

CAF has also secured new broadcast territories across Europe and Latin America, including Mexico, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain, further widening access to one of Africa’s premier football events.

Channel 4 to air final free-to-air in United Kingdom

In a major breakthrough for audiences in the United Kingdom, the final will be shown live on free-to-air television for the first time through Channel 4 and its digital platforms.

Long-standing CAF partners remain central to the global coverage plans. beIN SPORTS will continue to air the final across the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, France, the United States and the South Pacific among other territories.

French broadcaster Canal+ will deliver coverage in French-speaking regions across more than 32 countries, while SuperSport will beam the final to over 36 countries in sub-Saharan Africa in English and Portuguese.

Southern African viewers will also have access through SABC Sport, while East African broadcaster Azam TV will provide coverage across more than eight countries in the region.

Moroccan audience to enjoy local coverage

Host nation Morocco will have multiple viewing options, with the match available on SNRT Arryadia and beIN Sports.

Other European broadcast partners include Sport TV Portugal, MEGOGO in Ukraine, Sport Klub in Slovenia and Croatia, and Sport TV in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The expanded television and streaming coverage reflects CAF’s continued push to elevate the profile of African club football globally as anticipation builds for the final in Rabat.
