The team is set to hold their official training sessions at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, where Saturday’s highly anticipated fixture will also take place.
Al Ahly will conduct two training sessions ahead of the match, both scheduled for 3:00 PM — the same time as kickoff — to help players adapt to the local conditions.
To further support the squad’s preparations, the Al Ahly delegation includes a private chef tasked with managing the players’ meals and implementing a tailored nutrition plan throughout their stay.
The upcoming clash marks the 13th meeting between the two sides in CAF competitions since 2019.
Sundowns currently hold a slight edge with five wins, compared to Al Ahly’s three victories, while four encounters have ended in stalemates.
The second leg is scheduled to take place at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday, April 25.
