The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the three finalists for the prestigious Goalkeeper of the Year award ahead of Monday’s ceremony on December 16 in Morocco.

The nominees include Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco, Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie, and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini.

Khadija Er-Rmichi (Morocco / AS FAR)
Er-Rmichi, 32, played a crucial role for Moroccan giants AS FAR, helping her side secure the national championship.

Her leadership and consistency also guided the club to the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League, where she stood out as a key figure in their campaign.

Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria / Paris FC)
At just 24 years old, Nnadozie had a remarkable season with Paris FC. The Nigerian shot-stopper was named Goalkeeper of the Season in the French Premier League following her standout performances as Paris FC secured third place.

Nnadozie also represented Nigeria at the Paris Olympics, further cementing her reputation as one of Africa’s brightest talents.

Andile Dlamini (South Africa / Mamelodi Sundowns)
Dlamini, 32, was instrumental in helping Mamelodi Sundowns claim yet another domestic league title.

The experienced goalkeeper has been a reliable presence for her team, delivering commanding displays between the posts throughout the season.

The winner will be crowned at the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony, which will celebrate the continent’s best talents across various categories in Moroccan capital Rabat.
