CAF announces affordable ticket prices to ensure inclusive AFCON 2025
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the official ticket prices for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, outlining a pricing structure designed to make the continent’s premier football tournament accessible to as many fans as possible.
Working alongside Morocco’s Local Organising Committee, CAF aims to turn the competition into a true celebration of African unity, passion, and participation.
Progressive pricing across stages
Ticket prices have been set to vary depending on the phase of the tournament.
The opening match — always one of the most anticipated events — will start at 150 dirhams for Category 3 seats, 300 dirhams for Category 2, and 500 dirhams for Category 1, offering fans a range of options based on preference and comfort.
During the group stage, prices will remain affordable, starting at 100 dirhams for the lowest category, with higher tiers priced at 200 and 300 dirhams respectively.
CAF confirmed that only a select number of high-profile encounters will see slightly adjusted rates due to their expected demand and sporting significance.
Top clashes expected to light up the stands
Among the most eagerly awaited fixtures are Morocco vs Mali, Algeria vs Burkina Faso, Egypt vs South Africa, Nigeria vs Tunisia, Senegal vs Congo, and Ivory Coast vs Cameroon.
For these matches, prices will range between 100 and 400 dirhams, depending on seat category.
The aim, CAF said, is to balance fan enthusiasm with affordability, ensuring stadiums remain full and vibrant throughout the tournament.
Knockout rounds to see gradual increases
As the competition progresses to the knockout stages, prices will rise modestly.
Quarter-final tickets will start at 200 dirhams, rising to 400 and 600 dirhams for premium options.
For the semi-finals, seats will be available from 300 dirhams, with higher categories costing 500 and 800 dirhams.
The final match, the pinnacle of African football, will feature prices ranging from 400 dirhams for standard seats to 900 dirhams for the best views in the stadium.
A continental celebration for everyone
CAF and Morocco have emphasized that the 2025 AFCON will not just be a football tournament, but a continental festival open to all.
By implementing accessible pricing, both parties hope to fill stadiums with passionate supporters from across Africa and the diaspora.
Ticket sales were originally set to open on Monday, 13 October 2025, but the process has been delayed following technical issues with the YALLA application, the official platform for ticket purchases.
The disruption has led to frustration among fans online, though CAF has assured that the issue will be resolved soon.
Despite the delay, one thing is clear — with its balanced pricing and Morocco’s rich football culture, AFCON 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most inclusive and spirited editions in history.
