
CAF and Orange reaffirm their partnership for African football development. Orange have been the sole partner of CAF in telecommunications since 2008, providing a good service for the federation.
And as part of this, they have today strengthened their partnership in order to keep supporting for growth African football.
This relationship between CAF and Orange encloses of all the tournament controlled by CAF, covering from Total Energies African Cup Of Nations next month in Cote d’Ivoire, the Total Energies Women’s African Cup of Nations scheduled for Morocco in 2024 and the next African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Morocco in 2025.
This partnership clearly shows how Orange has the development of African football at heart, showing much commitment in trying to connect customers through telecommunications, especially Middle East and Africa.
CAF president, Dr. Patrice Motsepe was very delighted, saying Orange has been a backbone for African football for years.
Orange will partner with the African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire next month, the Women’s AFCON, and the next AFCON in Morocco 2025.
This partnership will go a long way to help in the development of women’s football in Africa.
The Managing Director of Orange in Middle East and Africa, Jerome Henrique, stated:

“We have shown great commitment for the past two decades and with more than forty football projects in the MENA region, with national teams, youth programs, academies, and universities, as well within our zones.”
Both parties, CAF and Orange, would have these three benefits.
Firstly, Orange, as a committed firm, will seek to ensure equal representation across all sponsorship portfolios to ensure equal access and opportunity.
A commitment build in support of the women’s cup of nations and other programs, specifically since 2018.
Secondly, with Orange seeking to support to its maximum, they are dedicated to engaging, educating and connecting young people through their Digital Centers with their dedicated programs to help young players to develop their digital skills and their training as well.
A clear case is teaching coding skills to young people with sports content and challenges to inspire them.
Others could be simple soccer games or tournament stats. In some areas to we can use the sport they love to inspire them to code while developing valuable digital skills.
