Following their exit from the CAF Champions League, Al Ahly of Egypt is now setting their sights on becoming the first Egyptian club to clinch victory in the CAF Cup. In the upcoming round of 16 of the Confederation Cup, Cairo will host Moroccans Difaâ Hassani d’El Jadida for the first leg.
“I assure our fans that we are determined to secure the CAF Cup title. Winning this championship would serve as the best consolation for our Champions League elimination. Every player is committed to achieving this goal, and we will exert our utmost efforts to make it happen,” declared Waël Gomaa, a defender for the Egyptian Reds.
