The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the officiating team for the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final first leg between ASEC Mimosas and RS Berkane, with Burundian referee Pacifique Ndabihawenimana appointed as the match official.

Ndabihawenimana, a highly respected referee on the African football scene, brings a wealth of experience to the crucial encounter.

Tasked with maintaining order and ensuring fair play, he will be at the center of proceedings when the two sides clash on April 2 at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.

His composure and authority will be key in managing what is expected to be a fiercely contested battle.

A Strong Refereeing Team from Across Africa

Supporting Ndabihawenimana will be a team of experienced officials from different African nations. Senegal’s Nouha Bangoura and Madagascar’s Dimbiniaina Andriatianarivelo have been named assistant referees, while Burundi’s Georges Gatogato will serve as the fourth official.

Ensuring precision in officiating, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system will be in place for the match. Senegal’s Issa Sy has been appointed as the lead VAR official, assisted by compatriot Djibril Camara. Additionally, Benin’s Claude Paqui will oversee match operations as the designated match commissioner.
