Burkina Faso international Nassim Innocenti has completed a move to Czech club FK Jablonec, marking another step forward in his developing career after a solid season in Slovakia.
The 24-year-old central defender, who spent the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign with Slovakian side FC Košice, has impressed with his performances since departing French outfit Valenciennes in February.
During his short but impactful spell in Slovakia, Innocenti made 34 appearances across all competitions, showcasing a blend of composure, aerial presence, and tactical discipline that caught the attention of scouts across Central Europe.
Originally developed at Lille’s renowned academy, Innocenti made a brief foray into French football with Valenciennes, featuring in around ten Ligue 2 matches before seeking more consistent minutes abroad.
His decision to join Košice in search of playing time appears to have paid off. He quickly established himself as a defensive mainstay and was regularly lauded for his leadership at the back.
Now, with momentum behind him, Innocenti has secured a transfer to Jablonec, one of the Czech Republic’s most historic top-flight sides.
The deal is reported to be worth approximately €300,000, according to sources close to the negotiations.
For the Burkinabè defender, the move represents both a new challenge and a significant opportunity to elevate his game on a larger stage.
Innocenti’s switch to Jablonec also comes at a time when the club is undergoing a rebuilding phase.
After a mid-table finish last season, Jablonec are aiming to reinforce their defensive line and mount a more competitive campaign in the Czech First League.
