Bukayo Saka set to return to Arsenal squad before Real Madrid tie in UCL
England forward of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka is expected to make a full recovery from injury before Arsenal’s tie against Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League.
The talented winger has been out of action since December when he underwent hamstring surgery.
Initially, it was projected that Bukayo Saka would return to full training by the end of February and be available for selection in March. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
In the last few weeks, the forward has been stepping up his recovery and was recently pictured training in the gym.
However, immediate return from injury is not seen as plausible.
Early this month, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has disclosed that Bukayo Saka is likely to return to action after the March international break.
He anticipates that Saka will be fit in time for the team’s trip to Fulham on April 1.
If all goes according to plan, it will mean the winger will be part of the Arsenal squad that will play against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The first leg of the tie is scheduled for April 8.
