Manchester United may soon land one of the Premier League’s standout attackers, as Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo is believed to be eager to make the switch to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are advancing talks for the Cameroonian forward, who is coming off a brilliant season where he finished as the league’s fourth-highest scorer. Mbeumo’s pace, creativity, and finishing have made him a top target for Erik ten Hag’s side, which is looking to rebuild its attack ahead of the new campaign.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, “Manchester United are exploring doing the Bryan Mbeumo deal, and he wants to join them.”
Ornstein further revealed there’s a “very good chance” the transfer goes through, although discussions remain ongoing.
While Tottenham have entered the race following Thomas Frank’s arrival, United hold the edge. Their pitch to Mbeumo includes regular minutes, a defined attacking role, and a long-term sporting vision.
With Mbeumo reportedly on board, United are working to strike a deal quickly to ensure the forward links up before pre-season kicks off.
