Enppi secured the third ticket to the quarterfinals of the Egyptian League Cup with a 1-0 victory over Ismaily, led by the remarkable Ali Fawzi.
Meanwhile, Ceramica Cleopatra strengthened its lead with a 1-1 draw against Interior.
With this result, both Enppi and Ceramica Cleopatra advance to the quarterfinals for the second consecutive year, with the latter aiming to defend its title.
Enppi will face Al-Ittihad in a repeat of last year’s competition, while Ceramica Cleopatra will meet the runner-up from Group A in the quarterfinals.
Ceramica Cleopatra vs. Interior:
Mohamed Magdi, Interior’s goalkeeper, showcased early brilliance, denying Amady’s chances twice and turning the ball into a corner in the 12th minute.
Half an hour into the match, Youssef Tungi scored Interior’s lead with a powerful header after a precise cross from the left side.
However, just three minutes later, Ahmed Hani surged forward, launching a powerful shot that found the net, equalizing for Ceramica Cleopatra.
In the remaining minutes of the first half, Ceramica Cleopatra had three chances to take the lead, but Interior’s defense and goalkeeper held firm.
