Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion have joined the race to sign Ivory Coast international Evann Guessand in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old attacker has become a subject of interest for several clubs across Europe following an outstanding performance in the just ended campaign for OGC Nice.
Guessand is the most bankable asset in the current squad as the transfer window heat up. Wolverhampton Wanderers initially showed interest in the forward, who came through the ranks at Nice. However, he was not keen on a move to Molineux.
However, competition for his signature is growing, with Brighton and Fenerbahce joining the race for his services. It is said Fenerbahce are prepared to submit a €25m bid for the signing of the forward.
Meanwhile, the talented Ivorian striker seems to be reticent to such a move. He wants to take his time before joining his next club.
He joined Nice in 2020 and established himself as a key member of the team. His current contract with the French Ligue 1 outfit is expected to expire in the summer of 2028.
