Brest striker Jonathan Ayité suffered an injury during the Ligue 2 match against Dijon on the 5th day, which ended in a 0-0 draw. Initial examinations indicate that Ayité may be sidelined for 6 to 8 weeks. He is suspected to have a calf strain, and further examinations are scheduled to determine the exact nature of the injury, with doctors suspecting a partial rupture of his Achilles tendon. Unfortunately, this injury will rule him out of responding to Didier Six’s call-up for Togo’s match against DR Congo in the World Cup qualifiers for Brazil 2014.
