Amr Adham, a member of the Zamalek Sporting Club’s board of directors, has unveiled a significant development in the case of Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Soliman, known as Kahraba, who is currently facing a fine dispute with arch-rivals Al Ahly.
Adham, speaking to Zamalek’s official channel, declared, “We are proceeding meticulously in Kahraba’s case.
The player’s lawyer proposed a settlement, but we rejected it.”
He continued, stating, “Zamalek has the right to receive $2.4 million in Kahraba’s case, and there is a moral right for Zamalek in Kahraba’s case because he harmed the club.”
Adham hinted at the possibility of a settlement agreement within the next 2 to 3 months, shedding light on a potential resolution to the protracted legal battle.
“A settlement agreement may be reached in Kahraba’s case within 2 to 3 months,” he added.
A close source to Mahmoud Kahraba had previously conveyed to Watan Sport that the player opposed Zamalek benefiting from the fine, which could reach up to 5%.
Currently, officials from Zamalek and Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba are awaiting the International Court of Arbitration for Sport to schedule what could be the final hearing, bringing an end to this protracted crisis.
