Breaking News: CAF reacts to Mohamed Adel's performance after Ivory Coast vs. Mali match

In the aftermath of the Ivory Coast vs. Mali quarter-final match in the Africa Cup of Nations, a source within the African Football Confederation’s (CAF) referees committee has disclosed the committee’s response to Mohamed Adel’s officiating during the game.

A responsible source within CAF’s referees committee, speaking exclusively to Watan Sport, stated, “All decisions made by Mohamed Adel, whether canceling penalties or awarding others, and the expulsion of a Mali national team player, are accurate.

There is nothing questionable in his decisions, and the Egyptian referee managed the match competently.”

Blame on Mohamed Adel by CAF Referees Committee
The source continued, “The blame solely falls on Mohamed Adel towards the end of the match.

A player from the Mali national team should have received a card, either yellow or red.

Additionally, his post-match handling was not optimal, contributing to the players’ audacity towards him.

However, overall, he officiated a significant and fair match without bias, and his decisions did not influence the match’s outcome.”

Mohamed Adel managed the Ivory Coast vs. Mali match with excellence.

He annulled a penalty in favor of the Mali national team after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Subsequently, he awarded another penalty to the Elephants, which was unfortunately missed.

Later in the match, he issued a red card to Traore, a player from Ivory Coast, earning praise from all quarters for his performance.
