Real Madrid have secured a major boost with Vinicius Junior agreeing to a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2030.

Vinicius, who has Cameroonian heritage, has reportedly committed to a three-year extension, according to Spanish outlet AS.

The 24-year-old, a key figure in Real Madrid’s attack, will earn a net annual salary of €20 million under the terms of his new deal, surpassing the €15 million paid to Kylian Mbappé at Paris Saint-Germain.

The agreement also includes lucrative performance-based bonuses, potentially boosting his earnings further.

These add-ons are tied to achievements such as title victories, goal tallies, and prestigious individual honors like the Ballon d’Or, reflecting the high regard in which the club holds the Brazilian star.

Despite significant interest from Saudi Arabian sides Al-Hilal and Al-Ahly, who reportedly considered a staggering €1 billion package to lure him to the Saudi Pro League, Vinicius chose to remain with Real Madrid.

His commitment underscores his deep connection to the club, where he has become a central figure since joining from Flamengo in 2018.

Vinicius has established himself as one of the most influential attackers in world football, with his electrifying pace, skill, and goal-scoring prowess playing a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s recent successes, including their 2022 UEFA Champions League triumph.

Real Madrid are set to make the official announcement in the coming days, with the deal marking a significant step in their long-term planning as they aim to secure their next generation of superstars.

The commitment from Vinicius is expected to further solidify the club’s attacking depth as they continue to compete for major honors in Europe and beyond.
