Brazil international of Cameroonian descent Vinicius Junior is on the verge of signing a new deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The pacey winger’s contract with the record Champions League holders runs out in summer 2027, having joined the side in 2018.

Since joining the club, Vinicius has established himself as a key member of the Spanish outfit, helping the club to annex two Champions League titles.

After months of contract renewal talks, both parties are said to be edging closer to an agreement over contract renewal at the club.

According to reports, Real Madrid are determined to keep hold of the Brazilian-Cameroonian star despite recent outburst against manager Xabi Alonso.

With both parties closing in on agreement, the pacey winger is expected to put pen to paper in the coming days.

The 25-year-old winger has scored six goals and provided five assists in 20 appearances across competitions for Real Madrid.

Since joining Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior has made 336 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 87 assists.
