Head coach of Brazil, Carlo Ancelotti has decided not to include Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior in the squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying fixtures.
The South American giants returns to action in September for the continuation of the qualifying series for the biggest soccer mundial.
Vinicius Junior, who has Cameroonian root is suspended for Brazil’s clash against Chile due to accumulation of yellow cards.
Despite being ruled out for the Chile match, the pacey winger would have been available for second game against Bolivia, but Ancelotti has opted not to include the winger in his team for the September international break.
Meanwhile, fellow Real Madrid teammates Eder Militão and Rodrigo have earned places in the Brazil squad for the international break.
Currently, Brazil sits third in their qualifying group, trailing only Argentina and Ecuador.
Brazil faces Chile on September 5, with the match against Bolivia scheduled for September 10, 2025.
