Brahim Díaz future transfer decision amid Juventus interest

Brahim Díaz has emerged as a key transfer target for Juventus, although the Real Madrid midfielder has made clear he would only consider a move to Turin under specific conditions.

The 26-year-old Moroccan international is attracting growing interest from the Italian club, who are preparing for a major squad rebuild after failing to secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League.

Reports, including from Football Italia, suggest Juventus have identified Díaz as one of their primary objectives for the upcoming summer transfer window as they look to strengthen under Luciano Spalletti.

Despite making 42 appearances across all competitions this season and contributing two goals and nine assists, Díaz has struggled to secure a consistent starting role at Real Madrid. His versatility has often seen him deployed as a squad option rather than a fixed starter.

Competition for places in the Madrid attacking unit remains intense. Established figures such as Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé continue to dominate selection, while emerging talents including Arda Güler, Endrick and Franco Mastantuono further limit opportunities for fringe attackers.

Against this backdrop, Díaz is understood to be open to a return to Italian football. However, any potential move would come with firm conditions.

The midfielder would reportedly consider a loan deal to Juventus only if it does not include an option for a permanent transfer.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are taking a cautious approach to the situation and are not rushing into any decision regarding his future. Internal considerations, including the club’s upcoming presidential election cycle, are also believed to be influencing their stance on squad planning.

Another factor that could shape Díaz’s situation is the future of Nico Paz. The Argentine midfielder, currently at Como, is being closely monitored by Real Madrid, who hold a buy-back clause worth €9 million this summer and €10 million in 2027.

Should Real Madrid opt to activate that clause and bring Paz back to the Santiago Bernabéu, competition in attacking midfield areas would increase further.

That scenario could significantly reduce Díaz’s already limited playing time and potentially accelerate a move to Juventus during the summer window.
