Bournemouth stand firm over Eli Junior Kroupi amid offers topping €100m

Bournemouth have ruled out selling Eli Junior Kroupi in the current transfer window despite receiving offers of more than €100m from several leading European clubs, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

Senior figures at the Premier League side have reportedly informed interested teams that the 20-year-old forward is not available, closing the door on any departure this summer regardless of the fee on the table.

Multiple clubs across Europe are said to have been prepared to exceed the €100m mark to sign the France-born striker of Ivorian origin, but that level of investment has not persuaded Bournemouth to reconsider their stance.

Key part of Bournemouth’s long-term project

Kroupi, who is only 20, is viewed internally as one of the cornerstone players in Bournemouth’s long-term sporting project.

Coaching and recruitment staff are understood to see him as central to the club’s attacking plans, with an intention to shape the forward line around his qualities and hand him a major role over the coming season.

His importance is underlined by the length of his current deal. Kroupi is under contract with the Cherries until 30 June 2030, giving the club strong leverage in any transfer discussions and allowing them to resist high-value approaches.

Market value and salary underline rising status

While bids in excess of €100m have been rejected, Kroupi’s estimated market value currently stands at €70m, according to specialist website Transfermarkt. That valuation reflects his rapid rise and the influence he now holds within the squad.

The centre-forward’s financial terms at Bournemouth also illustrate his elevated status. He earns an annual salary of €1,192,975, which equates to 775,433,750 CFA francs.
