Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia made a triumphant return from injury for Lazio, marking his comeback with a decisive goal in a hard-fought Serie A clash against Napoli on Saturday.

Lazio, trailing 2-1 in the second half, found inspiration from the 28-year-old forward, who was introduced in the 74th minute to replace Pedro.

With time running out, Dia delivered when it mattered most, scoring the equaliser in the 87th minute after latching onto a well-placed assist from Mattia Zaccagni.

The goal proved vital as it salvaged a point for Lazio and prevented what could have been a damaging defeat.

Dia’s impact was immediate, demonstrating his sharpness despite his recent absence due to injury.

His return offers a significant boost for Lazio as they continue their push in the league.

Man of the Match Performance

Dia’s heroics did not go unnoticed, as he was named Man of the Match for his crucial contribution.

The Senegalese forward has now tallied seven goals in Serie A this season, bringing his overall tally across all competitions to 11, along with four assists in 31 appearances.

Having overcome his injury setback, Dia’s performance reaffirms his importance to Lazio’s attacking setup.

His ability to deliver in key moments will be instrumental as the club looks to maintain its momentum in the league and beyond.
