Botola Pro 1: Raja Casablanca strengthened by El Amloud return from injury ahead of Hassania Agadir test

Raja Casablanca will be boosted by the return of right-back Ayoub El Amloud when they face Hassania Agadir in Round 14 of the Botola Pro 1 on Sunday evening.

El Amloud, a key figure in the Green Eagles’ defensive setup, missed the last two matches against Ittihad Tanger and Renaissance Berkane after suffering an injury in training. His recovery comes at a crucial time as Raja seeks to reverse a run of disappointing results.

The 28-year-old defender is known for his consistency and ability to balance defensive duties with attacking support down the right flank.

His absence had forced coach Fadlo Davids to reshuffle the back line, which contributed to the team’s struggles in recent weeks. His return is expected to bring stability and confidence to the squad as they prepare for a tough away fixture.

However, Raja will still be without midfielder Ayman Barqouq, who continues his rehabilitation program. The Moroccan international is undergoing individual training sessions designed to accelerate his return, but he is not yet ready to rejoin competitive action.

His absence leaves a gap in midfield creativity, putting more responsibility on the likes of Mohamed Boulacsout and Zakaria Habti to drive play forward.

The match against Hassania Agadir at Adrar Stadium is seen as a pivotal moment in Raja’s season. Hassania, currently eighth in the standings, will look to capitalise on home advantage under coach Amir Abdou.

For Raja, the fixture is not only about securing three points but also about restoring confidence and easing pressure on Davids, whose position has come under scrutiny after recent setbacks.

Kickoff is scheduled for 10 pm, with fans anticipating a high-intensity clash between two sides eager to climb closer to the top of the table.
