Bosnian tactician, Mohammed Bazdarevic, has officially confirmed receiving an offer from the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) to assume the role of head coach for the national team, succeeding Djamel Belmadi.
Speaking exclusively to “Radio Sarajevo,” Bazdarevic stated, “It is true that I am one of the candidates on a list of other names, with the prominent candidate being Vahid Halilhodzic.”
The 63-year-old continued to discuss the possibility of taking the reins of the Desert Foxes, saying, “In the last 19 months, I’ve received numerous offers, but none have captured my interest like the Algerian offer.”
Bazdarevic concluded his remarks by expressing, “This matter means a lot to me, and I would like to lead the Algerian national team.”
The confirmation adds intrigue to the ongoing selection process for the coveted position, as football enthusiasts await the decision that will shape Algeria’s footballing future.
