Boost for Esperance as goalkeeper Amanallah Mamish returns for blockbuster clash against Al Ahly

Esperance Tunis have regained the services of goalkeeper Amanallah Mamish just days before hosting Al Ahly in the first leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.

The Tunisian giants will play host to the Egyptian football powerhouse on Sunday, March 15, 2026, before the reverse fixture in Cairo international stadium on March 21, 2026 in what promises to be a thrilling two-legged showdown.

Prior to the match, Esperance have been boosted by the return of the enterprising goalkeeper, having missed the sides previous game due to discomfort.

Mamish is expected to be included in the squad for the crucial encounter, to be held at the Rades Stadium on Sunday night.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper has had limited playing time this season, featuring in just six matches—five in the Tunisian league and one in the Champions League—due to the continued presence of first-choice keeper Bashir Ben Said.

Mamish’s return provides a timely boost for Esperance ahead of their high-stakes clash against the Egyptian giants.

With Mamish back in goal, Esperance will aim to balance experience and fitness as they seek a strong result at home to set the tone for the return leg in Cairo.
