Ghana winger Christopher Bonsu Baah scored as Al Qadsiah produced a dominant performance to beat Al Kholood 5-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.

The Black Stars winger found the net in the 13th minute as Al Qadsiah established control early in the Week Eight encounter, with Tijani Reijnders, Al Juwayr, Mateo Retegui and Julian Quinones also contributing to a convincing victory.

Al Qadsiah started the match on the front foot and needed only four minutes to take the lead.

Reijnders opened the scoring after receiving a pass from Mateo Retegui, giving the visitors an early advantage.

The visitors maintained their attacking momentum and doubled their lead nine minutes later through Bonsu Baah.

The Ghanaian winger finished from close range after Julian Quinones delivered a low cross into the area.

The goal strengthened Al Qadsiah’s position in the contest and added to an impressive start that left Al Kholood struggling to contain their opponents’ attacking threat.

Al Qadsiah continued to control proceedings as the first half progressed, creating further problems for the home side with their attacking play.

Their pressure produced a third goal in the 40th minute when Al Juwayr found the net to extend the visitors’ advantage to 3-0 before the interval.

The goal left Al Kholood facing a difficult challenge after a first half in which they had conceded three times.

Bonsu Baah’s contribution was particularly notable, with the Ghanaian international adding a goal to an attacking performance that helped Al Qadsiah establish a commanding position.

The winger’s movement and involvement in the visitors’ forward play formed part of a strong individual display as his side continued to dictate the match.

Al Kholood needed a response after the break, but their opportunity to reduce the deficit did not produce the desired result.

Missed penalty frustrates Al Kholood comeback hopes

Al Kholood were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute, offering them a chance to get back into the contest.

However, Iker Kortajarena failed to convert from the spot, allowing Al Qadsiah to maintain their three-goal cushion.

The missed opportunity proved costly as the visitors extended their lead just three minutes later.

Retegui scored in the 67th minute to make it 4-0, further underlining Al Qadsiah’s superiority and leaving Al Kholood with little prospect of recovering from the heavy deficit.

The visitors continued to threaten as the match approached its conclusion, with Quinones adding the finishing touch to the performance in the 86th minute.

The forward converted a Panenka-style penalty to complete the scoring and secure a comprehensive 5-0 win for Al Qadsiah.

The late goal capped a convincing display from the visitors, who had taken control early and maintained their advantage throughout the encounter.

Ghana’s Bonsu Baah earns high rating

Bonsu Baah completed the full 90 minutes and was among the standout performers in Al Qadsiah’s victory.

His goal in the first half was a key moment in the contest, helping the visitors move two goals clear before Al Juwayr added a third ahead of the break.

The winger received a rating of 9.0, placing him second among the highest-rated players who featured in the match.

His performance provided another positive moment for the Ghanaian player as he continued his involvement in Saudi football.

Al Qadsiah’s five-goal display was built on an early breakthrough, effective attacking play and the ability to punish Al Kholood’s missed opportunity from the penalty spot.
