Bologna manager Vincenzo Italiano has issued a caution to Dan Ndoye amid strong interest from Nottingham Forest, urging the player to consider his options carefully before deciding to leave the Serie A club this summer.
Ndoye, who has Senegalese roots but represents Switzerland at international level, has emerged as a key transfer target for Forest.
The Premier League side have reportedly submitted an offer of €30 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses in a bid to lure the versatile wing-back to the City Ground.
However, Bologna are holding firm on their valuation, with club sources indicating that Ndoye will only be allowed to depart if a suitor meets their €50 million asking price.
Speaking after Bologna’s pre-season friendly against Virtus Verona, Italiano addressed the speculation surrounding the 23-year-old, stressing the importance of making thoughtful career decisions.
“We need to have the clarity to make the right choices. You don’t have to go just for the sake of going,” the Italian coach said.
“Before leaving Bologna, you have to think carefully. We work well here, there’s a desire to grow, and the people love all the players.”
Ndoye played a prominent role in Bologna’s campaign last season, attracting attention from several clubs in Europe due to his pace, work ethic, and adaptability on the flanks.
While the player is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League, Bologna remain keen to retain his services, especially with the club set to feature in European competition this coming season.
The transfer window remains open until the end of August, giving all parties time to negotiate.
