Yann Songo’o has successfully impressed Blackburn Rovers. The 21-year-old Cameroonian defender, who became a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer (MLS) – thereby concluding his loan stint with Orlando City (12 matches, 1 goal) – underwent a trial with the English Championship team.
The trial proved to be successful, and Yann Songo’o, the son of former indomitable Lions goalkeeper Jacques Songo’o, has signed a two-season contract with Blackburn Rovers.
