Birmingham weigh move for Union SG forward Mohammed Fuseini

Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini is being linked with a move from Union SG to Birmingham in the Championship.

The 24-year-old centre-forward has emerged as a potential target for the English club, although no transfer has been confirmed and no fee has been disclosed. Fuseini is valued at €2.5m and remains under contract with the Belgian side until 30 June 2028.

Fuseini has made five appearances for Union SG in the 2026-27 campaign, scoring once and providing two assists. He has featured in the Jupiler Pro League, Champions League qualifying and the Belgian Super Cup, contributing to Union’s early-season fixtures.

The Ghana international joined Union SG from Austrian club Sturm Graz in July 2024 in a deal listed at €2m. He had spent the previous season on loan at Randers FC before returning to Sturm Graz, where he won the Austrian league and cup during the 2023-24 campaign.

His time at Union has included further domestic success, with the club winning the Belgian title in 2024-25 and the Belgian Cup in 2026. Fuseini’s current club also lifted the Belgian Super Cup at the start of the 2026-27 season.

Any move to Birmingham would take him from Belgium’s top flight to the Championship, while Union SG would be under no immediate contractual pressure to sell given the length of his existing deal.
