Billal Brahimi contemplates MLS move amidst frustration at Stade Brestois

Algerian left-winger Billal Brahimi is exploring the possibility of a move to Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States, according to exclusive sources. The 23-year-old, on loan from OGC Nice, has amassed a mere 174 minutes on the pitch with Stade Brestois, prompting discontent with his current situation.

Despite showcasing promise and potential, Brahimi’s frustrations with his treatment at SB29 have fueled speculation about a potential departure during the winter transfer window.

MLS clubs have reportedly expressed keen interest in the Algerian’s skill set, with substantial offers already presented to his agents, although the specific clubs remain undisclosed at this time.

Brahimi, who receives a yearly salary of 80,000 euros in his current deal with Stade Brestois, could opt for a radical change by considering a move to the United States.

This shift aligns with a broader trend of increased interest in the MLS, notably bolstered by the recent arrival of football icon Lionel Messi to the American league. Monsef Bakrar, a compatriot of Brahimi, also ventured into the MLS earlier this summer.

It’s worth noting that Brahimi is under contract with OGC Nice until 2026, where his salary stands at 140,000 euros, equivalent to 91,000,000 FCFA per year.

His market value is currently assessed at 4 million euros.

As Brahimi contemplates this potential career move, the MLS emerges as a viable destination that could rejuvenate his career and offer new opportunities.

The Algerian’s decision could reshape his trajectory in football, aligning with the evolving landscape of the global game. Fans eagerly await updates on Brahimi’s future, as the winter transfer window opens up new possibilities for the talented winger.
