Bilal Messaoudi, the Algerian international, has emerged as the standout player for his club Göztepe, leading the charge with remarkable performances in the Turkish second-tier league this season.
The former JS Saoura player has left an indelible mark, contributing three goals and providing five assists in 14 appearances this season.
Messaoudi’s stellar performances have been instrumental in Göztepe’s push for promotion to the Turkish Super Lig, with the team currently occupying the second spot in the standings of the Turkish second division, amassing 49 points after 24 matches, trailing behind the leaders Kokkali Spor by a margin of 5 points.
According to a report from the Turkish website “Bolu Lay”, Göztepe’s management has officially decided to activate the buyout clause in Messaoudi’s contract from his previous club, Kortrijk in Belgium.
The source further elucidated that Messaoudi has garnered immense trust from his coach at Göztepe, Stojlov, having established himself as a key figure in the team despite grappling with injuries since the beginning of the season.
The coach is keen on retaining him for the upcoming season.
