Egyptian youngster Bilal Attia has suffered a strong injury during his very first training session with German side Hannover 96, turning what should have been an exciting start into a worrying moment.
The Al Ahly player is currently spending a trial period with the club as he looks to earn a contract and begin his European journey.
During the session, Attia collided with a teammate’s elbow, leaving him bleeding from the face and unable to continue training. German newspaper Bild reported that the 19-year-old sustained a broken nose as a result of the incident.
The following day, he underwent medical examinations that confirmed the fracture, adding an early setback to his bid to impress the Hannover coaching staff.
Despite the injury, Attia remains one of several Al Ahly starlets drawing attention from European clubs. Recently, Barcelona reached a final agreement with the Cairo giants to sign promising young striker Hamza Abdel Karim, highlighting the growing reputation of Al Ahly’s academy.
For Attia, the priority now is recovery so he can return to training quickly and continue fighting for his dream move in Germany.
