Besiktas deny receiving Al-Ittihad bid for Nigeria star Wilfred Ndidi

Besiktas sporting director Onder Ozen has moved to clarify the situation surrounding Wilfred Ndidi’s future, dismissing reports that the Turkish club has received an official offer for the Super Eagles captain.

The 29-year-old midfielder has emerged as a potential departure from the Black Eagles this summer, with growing speculation over his future following interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Reports in Turkey, particularly from Milliyet, claimed Saudi giants Al-Ittihad had submitted a proposal for the experienced Nigerian international as they explore the possibility of taking him to the Middle East.

However, Ozen has rejected suggestions that a formal offer has already landed on Besiktas’ table, insisting that the club has only been made aware of interest from Saudi Arabia.

“There is interest from Saudi Arabia in Ndidi. However, no official written offer has yet arrived. If one comes, we will evaluate it,” Ozen said.
