Besiktas Istanbul has made its decision regarding reinforcements in defense, opting not to pursue Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, Michaël Ciani, or Joleon Lescott. Instead, the Turkish club has turned its attention to Dany Nounkeu, the central defender from Galatasaray.
The Cameroonian international, who previously played for Toulouse in the French Ligue 1, has been secured on loan with an option to buy. Despite interest from other Turkish clubs such as Bursaspor and Karabükspor, Nounkeu has chosen to join Besiktas, crossing over to the other side of the Turkish capital.
Under contract with Galatasaray until June 2016, Nounkeu’s move marks an important addition to Besiktas’ defensive lineup.
