Benoit Badiashile commits to Chelsea and aims to make his mark

Benoit Badiashile

Benoit Badiashile has firmly shut down speculation about a potential exit, confirming he will continue his Chelsea journey next season.

The 24-year-old defender is determined to repay the trust shown in him by the club’s hierarchy and coaching staff.

“Yes, I will still be at Chelsea next season. The club, the coach, and all the staff give me a great deal of confidence and believe in me. I will do everything to repay them on the pitch.

“I love the club, the city, and the supporters. I hope to continue writing the history of this magnificent club,” Badiashile said.

Since arriving from AS Monaco in January 2023 for €38 million, Badiashile has made 55 appearances in blue. The Frenchman has scored twice and assisted once, bringing a calm presence to the backline when called upon.

With a contract running until 2030, Badiashile is not only thinking long-term but also eager to solidify his place in the squad under Chelsea’s evolving project.

Supporters will hope his loyalty and steady rise can be key ingredients in Chelsea’s return to the top.
