Benjamin Nyarko: Admira Wacker linked with move for Slovan Liberecs Ghanaian striker
Ghanaian centre-forward Benjamin Nyarko of Slovan Liberec has been linked with a move to Austrian side Admira Wacker as the 22-year-olds future in the Czech Republic comes under scrutiny.
Nyarko, a right-footed striker standing at 1.80m, returned to Liberec this summer after a loan spell at Czech top-flight rivals FK Teplice, and interest from Admira Wacker would mark a potential switch to Austrias second tier.
The forwards market value is currently listed at 200,000, having gradually declined during his time at Teplice after previously peaking at 375,000 while on the books at Liberec last year.
Nyarko only joined Liberec in July 2024 from Austrian club SV Lafnitz, where his performances in the 2. Liga saw his value rise from 75,000 to 175,000 within a season and earned him his first move into Czech football.
Before his step up with Lafnitz, the Ghanaian attacker came through the ranks in Europe via CENTED Academy in Spain, following an earlier spell with Mountaineers FC in his homeland.
The rumoured interest from Admira Wacker would therefore represent a return to a familiar league environment for Nyarko after a year in the Czech game, with his situation at Liberec being monitored but no agreement reported between the clubs.
