Chams Soule is expected to depart Paris Saint-Germain at the end of June, with the young Beninese striker offered to several Ligue 2 sides ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old, who progressed through the ranks of PSG’s academy after joining their U17 squad in 2022, was among ten players released by the club’s U19 reserve team.
His training contract, signed in 2024, will expire on 30 June, making him a free agent available for transfer without a fee.
Soule has already been proposed to multiple clubs in France’s second division, with Troyes, Rodez, and Ajaccio all made aware of his availability.
Of the trio, ESTAC Troyes are reportedly showing the most concrete interest as they seek to strengthen their attacking options for the 2025/26 campaign.
Despite being part of the PSG U19 setup this season, Soule struggled for game time, appearing in just 13 of 26 league matches, mostly as a substitute.
Limited minutes on the pitch curtailed his ability to make a significant impact, prompting both player and club to part ways.
A product of PSG’s academy, Soule had been considered a promising talent, particularly due to his technical ability and attacking instinct.
However, competition for places and the club’s continual influx of senior and youth signings limited his development opportunities in Paris.
His availability is now attracting attention across Ligue 2, where clubs are often keen to invest in young players with top-tier academy experience.
Troyes’ interest could prove pivotal, especially as the player recently suggested his allegiance to the Benin national team, opting for the yellow of the Cheetahs over any potential French youth call-up.
With just weeks remaining on his contract, Soule’s representatives are continuing discussions with prospective clubs.
While no deal has been finalised, it is expected that the player will secure a new home during the upcoming transfer window, where he will look to relaunch his career with regular senior football.
Soule now stands at a crossroads—eager to leave behind his limited experience in Paris and make his mark on the professional stage.
For clubs in Ligue 2 looking for a young, motivated forward with elite training, he could prove a smart addition.
