Defender Mohamed Tijani has completed a permanent transfer to Yverdon Sport after a successful loan spell at the Swiss club, AfricaSoccer.com can confirm
The 26-year-old Benin international defender has signed a three-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 2027.
Tijani initially joined Yverdon on loan from Viktoria Plzeň in the Czech Republic for the 2023-24 season.
His impressive performances convinced the club to exercise their purchase option and secure his services long-term.
Tijani played 27 matches in the Swiss Super League last season, scoring one goal. His excellent form persuaded the management to make his transfer permanent.
The central defender has seven caps for Benin and will continue to be a key player for Yverdon in the upcoming seasons.
The club announced the signing on their official website, expressing their delight at securing Tijani’s services until 2027.
This move demonstrates Yverdon’s commitment to building a strong team, and Tijani’s permanent transfer is a significant boost to their defensive lineup.
