Beni Mellal bring in Morocco right-back Mehdi Kachir after Amal Tiznit exit

Mehdi Kachir, the 38-year-old Morocco right-back, has joined Beni Mellal from Amal Tiznit on a free transfer.

Kachir completed the move on 4 September 2026, beginning the latest chapter of a career spent in Moroccan football. The Casablanca-born defender is a right-footed full-back and joins Beni Mellal after three years with Amal Tiznit.

The transfer represents another club change completed without a fee for Kachir. He moved to Amal Tiznit from Widad Temara in August 2023, also on a free transfer, having previously left Berrechid for Widad Temara in January 2021.

Kachir’s senior career has also included spells with AS FAR Rabat, Kenitra, CR Bernoussi and Raja Beni Mellal’s reserve side. His move to CR Bernoussi from Raja Beni Mellal’s reserves came in July 2011, while he later switched from CR Bernoussi to AS FAR Rabat in July 2016.

He joined Kenitra from AS FAR Rabat in January 2017 before subsequently moving to Berrechid. Each of those transfers was completed without a fee, underlining the experienced defender’s long sequence of moves within the Moroccan game.

Kachir’s recent competitive record includes 18 appearances and 1,370 minutes in Botola Pro Inwi, along with two appearances in the Botola Pro 1 Relegation competition and two in the Moroccan Throne Cup. He has not recorded a goal in those listed matches.

The defender’s arrival gives Beni Mellal an experienced option at right-back, while his previous domestic career means he brings familiarity with Moroccan club football. His nationality and playing position also make the move a straightforward addition to the club’s defensive ranks.

Kachir joins Beni Mellal without a transfer fee after leaving Amal Tiznit, completing the switch on 4 September 2026.
